LeelaClue User Guide

Welcome to LeelaClue, your personal companion for self-reflection and inner clarity through the timeless wisdom of Leela.

What is Leela?

Leela is a 2,000-year-old Vedic game of self-knowledge (originally Jnana Chaupar or the "Game of Life"). Created by ancient seers as a mirror of human consciousness, its 72-square board maps the universal principles of life, inner states of being, and planes of human evolution (the chakras).

LeelaClue translates this profound wisdom into a mindful digital companion: instead of playing through the hours-long full board game, you receive immediate, focused guidance from the field. The app helps you explore the core of life's questions, illuminate blind spots, and ground deep insights into practical daily micro-actions.

How to Use LeelaClue

The Main Screen

The main screen is your central sanctuary:

Daily Guidance — The Leela Reflections Method

Daily Guidance is the heart of LeelaClue. It follows the Leela Reflections Model — a process that transforms a question into a journey toward clarity: moving from your intention, through three reflective cards, to a single distilled insight and a practical micro-action for your day.

The StOR Framework

Your three cards correspond to key squares on the Leela board, forming the StOR (State, Obstacle, Resource) framework:

The Journey, Step by Step

  1. Set Your Intention: Write your question or intention — or tap the microphone in the upper-left corner of the input field and speak it. Avoid simple Yes/No questions; frame your inquiry around "What..." or "How...". The button in the upper-right corner of the input field provides immediate support:
    • Gold Wand: Tap this whenever you need inspiration. Leela provides curated themes, each offering three contemplative questions. Once you have completed several Guidance rituals, Deepen your insight appears at the top of the list, offering your own past questions so you can explore them from fresh angles. (These questions remain strictly private on your device.) Tap any question to insert it into your input field.
    • Lilac Guru: Once you type your own words, the button transforms into a pulsing lilac Guru icon. Tap it to invite the Guru's guidance. The Guru helps clarify your inquiry by:
      • Identifying the core theme underlying your question.
      • Offering clearer, more resonant rephrasings.
      • Reframing externally focused inquiries (about others or circumstances) into three deeper personal inquiries.
You are always free to keep your original wording or adopt a suggestion.
  2. Gather Mental Energy & Focus: Press and hold the Focus button. As the screen charges with your mental energy, hold your intention in mind until the countdown completes and the circle turns green, revealing your three StOR cards.
  3. Explore the Triad: Tap each card to reveal its perspective — first your Starting Point, then your Shadow Zone, and finally your Key to Resolution. Each card provides reflective questions tailored to its StOR role. Leela can also personalize these questions specifically to your situation. To contemplate the artwork on its own, tap the hide-text icon or press and hold anywhere on the card. Tap again to restore the text.
  4. Reflect: Write a reflection for each of the three cards. This is the heart of the practice: the cards illuminate the theme, but your reflections create the transformation. If you feel stuck, write a few initial notes and tap the Guru icon to receive three personalized reflection prompts based on your thoughts.
  5. My Insight: Distill your three reflections into a single unifying conclusion — in your own words, or with the Guru's assistance.
  6. My Practice: Translate your insight into one concrete micro-action for today. The Guru can suggest a tailored practice, or offer alternatives if the first suggestion doesn't resonate.

The Ritual Page:
Your question, the three cards and reflections, your Insight, and your Practice are presented in a unified vertical scroll. You can move sequentially or jump ahead — your Insight can be formulated even before all reflections are finished, though the more reflections you provide, the deeper the Guru's synthesis will be. The ritual path at the top displays your progress at a glance, and completing the ritual is celebrated with a gentle visual confirmation.

Daily Wisdom

A morning ritual to align your awareness and set a clear intention for the day.

  1. Align Your Focus: Tap the Daily Wisdom card in the carousel, then press and hold the center Focus button.
  2. Gather Mental Energy: While holding the button, the on-screen animation charges with your energy. Take this moment to breathe deeply, gather your mental focus, and center your awareness on the day ahead. Keep holding until the countdown completes and the circle turns green, revealing your card.
  3. Receive: Contemplate your card's theme, commentary, and reflective quotes.
  4. Embody: Every card initially offers a default standard Daily Practice. If you want a more tailored action, you can invite the Guru to suggest alternative practices: simply tap the pencil icon on the practice widget. The Guru takes your personal reflections on today's wisdom into account to craft alternative practices that are more concise, focused, and personally resonant. When you have finished your practice, tap "Mark as done" directly on the widget. Completed practices feed into your statistics, reflecting your consistency and progress in your inner work.

The Leela Field — Meditation & Breathwork

The third carousel card opens The Leela Field — a dedicated space for contemplation, breathwork, and meditation built upon the ancient 72-square Leela game board. Its rows correspond to the chakras, representing planes of human consciousness.

The Leela Guru & Clues

The Leela Guru is an AI presence designed to support each step of the Leela Reflections Model. It does not replace your intuition; rather, it sharpens your inquiries and helps ground your insights into daily action.

Example Scenarios

Scenario 1: Career Decisions

Situation: You received a new job offer but feel hesitant about leaving your current role.
Question: "What should I consider regarding the new job offer at TechCorp?"
The StOR Framework:

  1. St — State / Starting Point (Where am I now?): Insecurity. You may be experiencing self-doubt regarding your capabilities.
  2. O — Obstacle / Shadow Zone (What do I not notice yet?): Sudharma (Right Action). You are actually well-aligned with your true path.
  3. R — Resource / Key to Resolution (What will carry me forward?): Jnana (Knowledge). Clarifying practical details about the new role will dissolve unwarranted fears.

My Insight: "My hesitation stems from self-doubt rather than any flaw in the offer. The opportunity aligns with my values; I simply need clear facts, not more reassurance."
My Practice: Write down the three specific questions concerning the role and discuss them openly with the recruiter today.

Scenario 2: Relationship Harmony

Situation: A recent disagreement with a close friend left lingering tension.
Question: "How can I heal the misunderstanding with Sarah?"
The StOR Framework:

  1. St — State / Starting Point (Where am I now?): Ego. Holding onto defensive pride.
  2. O — Obstacle / Shadow Zone (What do I not notice yet?): Attachment. The fear of losing the connection is manifesting as defensiveness.
  3. R — Resource / Key to Resolution (What will carry me forward?): Compassion. Approaching Sarah with genuine empathy and releasing the need to be "right."

My Insight: "My defensiveness is shielding my fear of losing the friendship. Preserving our connection is far more valuable than defending my pride."
My Practice: Send Sarah a warm message tonight asking how she felt during our conversation, listening with full presence and without defending my position.

FAQ

Q: Why can't I ask another question today?
A: LeelaClue is designed around daily integration. You keep one completed ritual per calendar day so you can stay with the insight rather than constantly asking anew. With Daily Guidance, as long as you have not yet written any reflections, you can repeat the ritual up to three times a day. Once reflections are saved, the ritual is set for the day.

Q: Why can't I delete today's entry?
A: Daily Wisdom is meant to accompany you throughout the entire day. For Daily Guidance, you can repeat the ritual up to three times a day before writing any reflections. Once reflections are recorded, today's entry is locked so you can focus on living the insight. Entries from previous days can be deleted at any time by swiping them to the left in your Diary.

Q: Where can I find my Daily Practice?
A: Complete your Daily Wisdom ritual first. The practice from your card is then activated automatically for the day. Tap the lotus icon on the bottom navigation bar to open Today's Practice Plan (Active Practices).

Q: Do I need an account to use LeelaClue?
A: No. The app functions completely without registration. Signing in with Apple or Google is optional and serves only to protect your purchased Clues across reinstalls or device changes.

Q: What happens to my Clues if I switch devices?
A: Sign in on the Dakshina screen before changing devices. On your new phone, sign in with the same account to automatically restore your purchased Clue balance. (The initial welcome gift remains tied to the original installation.)

Q: What personal data is shared if I sign in?
A: None. The app never collects, stores, or transmits your email address or personal details — only an anonymous token that verifies your purchased balance.

Q: How do I delete my account and all data?
A: Go to Settings (Gear icon) → Delete Account & Data and confirm. This permanently removes all reflections, settings, history, and linked account data, returning the app to its initial state. If you use the app across multiple devices with the same account, repeat this step on each device.

Enjoy your journey of self-discovery with LeelaClue.
